StepUp for Dementia Research is an online, postal and telephone service that connects people interested in participating in dementia research with researchers conducting studies into dementia prevention, diagnosis, treatment, care and cure. Anyone in Australia aged 18 and over, with or without dementia, can sign up for StepUp for Dementia Research. Once registered, volunteers will be matched.
How can the general public get involved?
To sign up, you can go to our website https://www.stepupfordementiaresearch.org.au/ or call our helpdesk: 1800-STEP-123 (1800-7837-123) Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (AEST). Registration is simple and usually takes 5 to 10 minutes.
How can researchers get involved?
Researchers can register their interest on the researchers section of our website. StepUp for Dementia Research is a free service specifically designed to help researchers meet their recruitment needs. It can be used by approved researchers across Australia to list their ethically approved studies and match participants. StepUp for Dementia Research is not a research project; it is a “one-stop-shop” that is designed to support the public and researchers to connect with each other.
